The City of Corunna is pleased to announce...
The Affordable Family Recreational Opportunity Plan

Hereinafter referred to as...  The AFRO Plan !

What is an AFRO Plan?

An Affordable Family Recreational Opportunity (AFRO) Plan is a program designed to look for opportunites to develop inexpensive to use recreational facilities and activities.

Why have an AFRO Plan?

What other communities have AFRO plans?

None that we know of... we just made it up!

Is this a written plan?

You're looking at it...  why do you ask ...   do you hear voices?

Mount McCurdy Sled Hill (Mountain). 
Cost to Users: Supply your own sled!
Cost to Taxpayers: $0.00 
     ($3,000 parks improvement expense from pancake breakfast proceeds).
     (Over $3,000 in cash donations from individuals, families & businesses).
Donations are requested for future improvements


AFRO Project #2

Photos Coming Soon!  Opened July 4th, 2009.  Beach Sand Volleyball Courts!
In Corunna's Hugh McCurdy Park.
Cost to Users: Supply your own volleyball! 
Cost to Taxpayers: Council appropriated $5,000 for the project, but we only spent $3,000!

McCurdy Park 18 Hole Disc Golf Course
Baskets were installed in the summer of 2009. The course is open!
Future improvements and modifications will be made to the course. 
Cost to Users: Supply your own disc (please do not call it a frisbee)! 
Cost to Taxpayers: $0.00
     ($3,000 parks improvement expense from pancake breakfast proceeds).
